Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Paro – Transfer to Thimphu (L/D)
Early this morning, check in for your flight to Paro, Bhutan.
Altitude: Paro (2,200 m) | Thimphu (2,334 m)
Distance: 50 km | Driving time: 1–1.5 hours
Arrive at Paro International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your Bhutanese guide. After completing immigration formalities, begin a scenic drive to Thimphu, following the gentle curves of the Paro and Thimphu river valleys.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take time to rest and acclimatize. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a light orientation walk through the town.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing (B/L/D)
**Altitude:** 2,334 m
Begin your exploration with a visit to the impressive Buddha Dordenma, overlooking the valley with panoramic views.
Continue to the Memorial Chorten, an important spiritual site where locals gather daily.
Visit the grand Tashichho Dzong, which houses the King’s office and key government institutions.
If time permits, stroll along Norzin Lam, the city’s main street.

Day 3: Thimphu – Gangtey / Phobjikha Valley (B/L/D)
**Altitude:** Gangtey (3,000 m) | Dochula Pass (3,100 m) **Distance:** 135 km | **Driving time:** 5–6 hours
Depart Thimphu and travel toward the scenic Phobjikha Valley.
En route, cross Dochula Pass, offering panoramic Himalayan views and 108 chortens.
Upon arrival, visit Gangtey Monastery, dramatically set above the valley. Enjoy a walk along the Gangtey Nature Trail through traditional villages and meadows.

Day 4: Gangtey – Punakha (B/L/D)
**Altitude:** Punakha (1,200 m) **Distance:** 75 km | **Driving time:** 3–4 hours
Descend toward Punakha, where the climate becomes warmer and more subtropical.
En route, walk through rice paddies to visit Chimi Lhakhang, dedicated to the “Divine Madman.”
Continue to Punakha and check in to your hotel.

Day 5: Punakha Sightseeing & Hikes (B/L/D)

Optional short hikes through rice fields and villages offer insight into local life.

Day 6: Punakha – Paro (B/L/D)

Return to Paro, crossing Dochula Pass once again.
Upon arrival, check in and relax. Optional visit to Rinpung Dzong or enjoy a stroll through Paro town.

Day 7: Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike (B/L/D)
**Altitude:** 2,200 m
Today’s highlight is the hike to Taktsang Monastery, Bhutan’s most iconic site, perched at 3,120 meters on a cliffside.
The hike takes approximately 4–6 hours round trip through pine forests and scenic viewpoints.
After returning, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.

Day 8: Paro Departure (B)
After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight.
