    ITINERARY


    DAY 1 SAT LIMA ARRIVAL
    On arrival today, you are met and transferred to the hotel.

    The balance of the day is free, you may take a walk on own in Barranco district that highlights the best of Peruvian food and culture in general.

    DAY 2 SUN LIMA – CUSCO – SECRET VALLEY (B/L)
    This morning, visit the Cathedral of Lima, located at Plaza de Armas, and Plaza Mayor, decorated with a bronze fountain. A few blocks away stands the Convent of San Francisco, which dates from the 17th century. Drive through the modern quarters of Miraflores and San Isidro before visit the fascinating Larco Herrera museum.

    Afterwards, enjoy lunch in a typical tavern.

    Transfer to Lima airport and fly to Cusco. On arrival, transfer to Secret Valley and check in to the hotel. The rest of the day free at leisure.

    DAY 3 MON EXPLORATION OF SECRET VALLEY (B/L)
    Today, enjoy a full day excursion of Secret Valley starting with Chinchero and on its main plaza, stands a colonial church built in the 17th century. Wander around the market and you can find some of the best textile.

    Continue to visit Moray, famous for its embedded amphitheatre, formed by four circular terraces which seem to disappear into the interior of the puna, like an artificial crater. Continue the visit of Maras. Its main attraction are the salt mines located near the town which captivate sightseers and in particular, photographers.

    We will continue your tour by visiting Ollantaytambo, this prehistoric fort majestically dominates the valley, It is up of temples and pats united by a complete system of water and sewer irrigation canals.

    DAY 4 TUE OLLANTAYTAMBO – MACHU PICCHU (B)
    This morning, transfer to Ollantaytambo where we take a Voyager Train to Aguas Calientes with beautiful scenery along the way.

    On arrival, we will visit Machu Picchu with a professional guide. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Machu Picchu is one of the most extraordinary examples of landscapes architecture in the world. It consists of two main areas, agricultural area formed mainly by mountains and food stores, and the urban area which is noted for its sacred zone with its temples, squares and royal tombs. The stairways and canals carved out of stone are recurrent throughout this remarkable archaeological site.

    DAY 5 WED AGUAS CALIENTES – CUSCO (B)
    Morning is free at leisure.

    OPTION: Second visit to Machu Picchu on own.

    In the afternoon, take the Voyager Train down from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo where we will be transferred to Cusco city.

    DAY 6 THU CUSCO (B)
    Enjoy a half day city tour and see the exact centre of the Incan Empire, the Plaza de Armas and the cathedral built on the ruins of the ancient Inca Palace. The cathedral borders on other churches on both sides. Next we visit Sacsayhuaman, a fortress-temple complex lies at the northern edge of the former Inca capital Cuzco.

    The afternoon is free at leisure for you to walk through the old town with its magnificent renovated colonial buildings.

    DAY 7 FRI CUSCO, PERU – LA PAZ, BOLIVIA (B)
    This morning, transfer to Cusco airport for one hour flight to La Paz. On arrival, transfer from El Alto Airport to the hotel in La Paz, at leisure.

    DAY 8 SAT LA PAZ CITY TOUR & MOON VALLEY (B)
    Visit Plaza Murillo, the central plaza of the city of La Paz and the open space most connected to the political life of Bolivia. At “Mercado de las Brujas”, known as “ Witches Market”, you may see locals practicing traditional rituals such as reading the fortune in coca leaves.

    Continue to Moon Valley, not actually a valley but a maze of canyons and giant spires. The clay and sandstone formations were formed by the erosion of mountains. One of the most breathtaking features of the place is its varied colours ranging from clear beige tones to sections of red and dark purple due to the different mineral content from each mountain.

    Exploring La Paz by cable car is absolutely unique! La Paz has the world’s largest cable car system. It’s the best way to enjoy the amazing views of the city and its surrounding mountains.

    DAY 9 SUN LA PAZ – UYUNI – COLCHANI – UYUNI (B)
    Early this morning, back to La Paz airport for one hour flight to Uyuni.

    On arrival, you will start to visit to the Train Cemetery, which date from the 1930s approximately. Then we will go to the community of Colchani to visit the artisanal salt factory and later you will enter the majestic salt flat, where you can see how the salt is collected, as well as the first salt hotel “Playa Blanca”, also Dakar monument, and further inside, you can make your perspective or optical illusion photo session.

    Continue to the Incahuasi Island, quechua word that means “Casa del Inca”, where you can appreciate the majesty of giant cacti (Echinopsis atacamensis) typical of the place. Then, the last stop in the salt flat to wait for sunset, accompanied by a toast with Andean liqueurs.

    DAY 10 MON UYUNI – OJO DE PERDIZ DESERT (B)
    Travel to the south and we will stop and see the Church of San Cristóbal, which was built by the Jesuits and moved rock by rock 20 km from its original place. At Villa Alota, we pass by a swamp inhabited by birds and then the Valley of Rocks and the Turquiri Lagoon.

    Stop at the viewpoint of active Ollagüe Volcano, located on the border with Chile. Then visit the Cañapa Lagoon, a salt water lagoon where you can see Andean flamingos. Continues to Laguna Hedionda, which due to its high concentration of sulfur emanates a strong peculiar smell.

    DAY 11 TUE OJO DE PERDIZ – HITO CAJON – ATACAMA (B)
    Early today, travel towards the Siloli Desert where the red sand reaches the horizon. The plain is broken in some places with gigantic stones with strange shapes. Visit Laguna Colorada, where you can appreciate Andean flamingos, James and Chileans, because of salty lagoon rich in minerals. Tour the Sol de Mañana Geysers to admire their impressive fumaroles and also visit the Polques Hot Springs where you can enjoy a refreshing bath in the thermal pools.

    Continues towards the South, passing through the Salvador Dalí Desert and Laguna Verde until arriving at Hito Cajón which is the border with Chile. We change vehicle and transfer to Hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.

    DAY 12 WED SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA (B)
    Early this morning we depart on an excursion to El Tatio, the world’s highest major geyser field, to see the great outflow of geysers at sunrise.

    Afterward, relax in the warm mineral waters of the Termas de Puritama hot springs.

    In the afternoon, visit Mars Valley & Moon Valley with its extraordinary landscape shaped over time by the rain, wind, and sun of the Atacama Desert, its final form as we know is full of natural sculptures, different types of stratifications, and vary colours due to its mineral diversity.

    DAY 13 THU ALTIPLANIC LAGOONS & SALT FLATS (B)
    Our full day excursion starts with the viewpoint of Piedras Rojas, sector of Aguas Calientes, here we will be able to appreciate the formations and contrast of colours in the salt flats of the Altiplano,

    We then will go to the Miñique and Miscanti Lagoons which are located at 4. 320 meters above sea level, here we will make a short walk to visit the place, then we go to the village of Socaire where we can see crops in the form of terrace.

    Continue to Salar de Atacama Laguna Chaxa sector where we can see the 3 different types of flamingos found in this area, and finally we visit the town of Toconao where we will visit the church and its particular construction with the bell tower.

    DAY 14 FRI SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA – SANTIAGO (B)
    This morning transfer to Calama Airport and the take a 2 hours flight to Santiago de Chile. On arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel.

    Enjoy a half day city tour of Santiago, Chile’s capital will surprise you. Explore through the downtown area to get to the heart of the city, walk along the famous Alameda, Santiago’s colourful main avenue where you’ll see some important iconic constructions such as the Chilean University, San Francisco Church and the Santa Lucia Hill, site of Santiago’s foundation in 1541.

    Continue to see the Plaza de Armas and the cathedral and then visit the famous Central Market, which is the main market for fresh fish and seafood, an interesting building, dating back to the end of the 19th century: It is a steel construction, built in London and brought to Chile by ship.

    Afterwards, cross the Mapocho River to reach the bohemian Bellavista district on the way to the San Cristobal Hill. From the viewpoints, we will have the finest views of Santiago and the Andes Mountains.

    DAY 15 SAT VALPARAISO AND VIÑA DEL MAR (B)
    Today we encounter the old port of Valparaiso, the former fishing village marked by colourful wooden houses and narrow, winding streets, now Chile’s third largest city and cultural heart.

    We visit Concepcion Hill, ride the old wooden funicular for a spectacular view of the bay, and tour writer Pablo Neruda’s home at La Sebastiana, and have time for independent exploration.

    Afterwards, take the coastal highway to the resort town of Viña del Mar, where we visit the main square Plaza Vergara and the shopping avenue before returning to Santiago

    DAY 16 SUN SANTIAGO – HOME (B)
    Today, you are transferred to the airport for flight home.
