Morning sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city and Swayambhunath
Kathmandu is known as Kantipur, the capital of the Kingdom of Nepal. Here you will visit the temple of the Living Goddess who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence. Bhimsen Mandir, Shiva & Parvati Temple, Big Bell, Jaganath Temple, Garuda Statue, Ivory Window, Taleju Temple, Statue of Kal Bhairav – the Durbar Square are with its array of temples overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, the ancient place of the Nepalese Royalty.
Swayambhunath is said to be 2558 years old and one of the World’s most glorious Buddhist Chaityas.
The Chaitya or Stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt.Painted on the four-sided base are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples.
This afternoon, visit Pashupatinath and Patan City
Pashupatinath is situated 5 kilometers east of Kathmandu city, Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in pagoda style has gilted roof and richly Carved silver doors. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of river Bagmati, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non Hindus. Pashupatinath is the center of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. Behind the temples are the cremation grounds.
The ancient city (Lalittpur) stands on a raised ground, 5 km southeast of Kathmandu. Patan’s main attraction is Durbar Square which has Hiranya Varna Mahavihar – the three storied golden pagoda of Lokeshwar (Lord Buddha) built in the 13th century, Rudra Varna Mahavihar – the unique Buddhist monastery boasts of a fine and amazing collection of images and statues in metal, stone and wood, Krishna Mandir built in the 16th century, Jagat Narayan Temple – an imposing temple of Lord Vishnu, Machhendra Nath Temple built in 1508 AD.
The Ashokan Stupa believed to have been built in 250 BC. Tibetan Centre, a self help small scale industry involved in spinning, dyeing and weaving of Tibetan carpets.
Tonight, enjoy a Presentation of Nepalese Cultural Folk Dances followed by Nepalese Dinner on fixed menu basis at a Local Restaurant.

Day 03: Kathmandu

NAGARKOT
Nagarkot is situated about 35 km/22 miles east of Kathmandu and from here one can see Mount Everest and other peaks of the Himalayas. Nagarkot is located between Kathmandu valley in the west and indrawati in the east. The top of Nagarkot commands accelerating view in all directions. The altitude of Nagarkot is 2229 m/7133 ft. above sea level.
DHULIKHEL
Dhulikhel is a scenic and ancient town situated 30 kilometers east of Kathmandu on the Arniko Rajmarg (Kathmandu Kodari Highway). From here one has a panoramic view of the Himalayan range. From the main town, a short visit to Namobuddha, with the stupa and Buddhist Monastery, is highly recommended. Panauti, a village noted for its numerous temples with magnificent woodcarvings, is a short distance from Dhulikhel.
BHADGAON
Also known as Bhaktpur meaning the city of devotees, this place is the home of medieval art and architecture. Lying 14 km/9 miles of Kathmandu City, this place was founded in the 9th century and is shaped like a conch shell. The city is at the height of 4,600 ft. above sea level. In Bhadgaon you will visit the Durbar Square with its array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55 Windows built by King Bhupatindra Malla. Here you will also visit the Dattatatraya Temple, Nyatapola Temple, Bhairav Temple, Pottery Square, Peacock Window and Priest Palace.

Breakfast at Hotel and then transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
