DAY 1 Gilgit -Karimabad
In the morning, drive to Karimabad, Hunza on the Karakorum Highway pausing along the way at Rakaposhi view point, the longest uninterrupted mountain flank in the world
In the afternoon, visit Baltit Fort a UNESCO heritage site and enjoy a meal at Cafè De Hunza peering down on the valley below
DAY 2: Gilgit-Hunza
In the morning, drive to Altit to visit Altit Fort and the highly progressive women’s workshop
In the afternoon, grab a bite to eat at Altit Cafè, run by a women’s community village organization
DAY 3: Gilgit-Hunza
In the morning, take the Karakoram Highway to Gulmit, in Upper Hunza past the newly formed Attabad Lake where you can explore a 900 year-old house and a local women’s handicraft market.
In the afternoon, drive to Passu Village, home to 4 of the highest mountains in the world: The Tupupdan Sar, Passu Peaks, Shispare and Boyohagur
DAY 4: Gilgit-Hunza
In the morning, take a classic open roof Jeep ride to the thousand year-old Kargah Buddha rock carving, Buddhist monasteries, and the Gilgit Bazaar with its uniquely arrayed shops
In the afternoon, visit the Chinar Bagh garden, a memorial dedicated to those who fought for the region’s independence, and take a breathtaking ride across Asia’s longest suspension bridge to a Chinese cemetery, a resting place for those who died during the construction of the Karakoram Highway
