Day 2: Manila (B/L/D)
This morning, start a tour of Manila City and see Rizal Park, Intramuros, Metropolitan Museum, Makati, American Memorial Cemetery and the EDSA Shrine.

In the afternoon, we proceed to Corregidor island fortress, which is a 1-hour ferryboat ride from the Manila breakwaters. Located 26 miles West of Manila, the “Rock” was the last Filipino-American bastion to fall to the Japanese during WWII. The tour includes a guided visit to the is-land’s many “silent guns” and historical landmarks. The stirring Light and Sound Show inside the cavernous Malinta Tunnel, which served as General Douglas McArthur’s headquarters during the siege, should not be missed. Return to Manila after lunch. Rest of the afternoon free at leisure.

In the evening, have a sumptuous seafood dinner and watch a cultural show.

Day 3: Tagaytay (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel. A leisurely 1-and-a-half-hour drive through the countryside passing through coastal villages, rice fields, fruit orchards, and coconut plantations shall take you to the cool climes of Tagaytay.

Rising 2,250 feet above sea level, Tagaytay offers a panoramic view of one of the rarest known sights in the world: the Taal Volcano—a small volcano within a lake within a volcano.

Lunch will be at Sonja’s Garden, a restaurant specializing in dishes using organic produce grown in its own garden.

On our way back to Manila, we will pass by the Las Piñas San Jose Church with its world-famous Bamboo Organ.

Day 4: Day free at leisure (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Explore Manila on your own.

Visit Mall of Asia. For bargain items, try Greenhills Shopping Center or Tutuban Center. Or, for the young and the young at heart, visit Manila Ocean Park.
