7 Days tour of Japan – family visit to Tokyo and Kyoto


Day 1 Mar 11   TOKYO (ARRIVAL)                                                                                                     

Arrive at Narita or Haneda International Airport (Tokyo) by your flight. After clearance of immigration and custom formalities, you will be met by an English speaking assistant who will be holding a paper-board with your name on it after the immigration and customs check point.

Then, you will be attended to the appropriate Airport Bus stop. Transfer to your hotel by Airport Bus on a seat-sharing and set-timetable basis without assistance.

Day 2 Mar 12   TOKYO (B)                                                                                                  

Assemble at lobby and start a half day tour of Tokyo visiting tokyo Tower from its observatory platform and enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Then head to Imperial Palace Plaza, Asakusa Kannon Temple with its Shopping Arcade “Nakamise”.

Tour disbands upon arrival at Tokyo station or Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal.


Day 3 Mar 13  TOKYO Full day Ghibli Museum & Ghibli Film Appreciation Bus Tour (B/L)

This morning, head to Hotel Gajoen Tokyo.

Take a commemorative photo and enjoy a buffet lunch at a spectacular, historical hotel said to be the inspiration for a famous Ghibli film.

(Meal Venue: In the case that the meal cannot be provided at Hotel Gajoen Tokyo due to facility circumstances, the meal venue will be changed).

In the afternoon, visit Ghibli Museum. Enjoy freely walking around inside.

The museum features a plethora of exhibits including animation production processes, a reading room, and a Ghibli original short animated feature viewable only at the museum.

Afterwards, head to Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum OR Jindaiji Temple/Takahata Fudoson Temple. An outdoor museum featuring historical structures with high cultural significance which have been moved to the museum from their original sites, recreated and preserved for exhibit. Walk down streets lined with colorful and intriguing buildings which evoke an atmosphere just like in a Ghibli film.

Tour disbands near Shinjuku Station West Exit.


Day 4 March 14 TOKYO – Mt. FUJI – HAKONE (B)

Assemble at lobby and start a full day excursion to Hakone, en route driving halfway up to the Mt. Fuji 5th station. Lunch at a local restaurant.

Upon arrival in Hakone, visit: Lake Ashi with mini-cruise; and Hakone Sky Gondola ride to enjoy the natural view of Hakone.

Then, proceed to JR Odawara Station to take Bullet Train to Kyoto.

Upon arrival in Kyoto, check-in at hotel.

Day 5 March 15 KYOTO (B)

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning sightseeing tour of Kyoto including Nijo Castle (or Ryoanji Temple), Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), Kyoto Imperial Palace (or Kitano Tenmangu Shrine).

Tour disbands in Kyoto Station.


Day 6 March 16 KYOTO (B/D)

Free day at leisure or take an optional excursion to Nara.


This evening, enjoy both a course meal at a Ninja Restaurant and a Ninja dining theater show.

Watch in amazement as the hi-tech Ninja show brings together dance, action, and even projection mapping into a unique performance. Seats are located close to the stage, and guests can even participate in the show.

During the meal, Ninjas will visit your table to perform Ninja magic right in front of your eyes.


Day 7 March 17 KYOTO – HOME (B)

At pre-arranged time, take airport shuttle to Kansai International airport for your flight home.
