ITINERARY
DAY 1 ARRIVAL MUNICH – PASSAU (D)
Arrive in Munich Airport this morning.
On arrival, you are met by an English Speaking driver guide and transfer to the pier in Passau for boarding.
Welcome to board of your ship at 4:00 p.m. in Passau.
After comfortably settling into your cabins, we’ll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail followed by dinner.
We’ll begin to cruise towards the beautiful region of Engelhartszell.
DAY 2 PASSAU – VIENNA (B/L/D)
This morning, join us on an excursion to visit the Melk Abbey which situated on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Danube river, adjoining the Wachau valley. The abbey contains the tomb of Saint Coloman of Stockerau and the remains of several members of the House of Babenberg, Austria’s first ruling dynasty.
We’ll return to the ship and cruise on to Dürnstein. Enjoy some free time exploring this picturesque village, and its Baroque-style church – the most famous in the Wachau region thanks to the legend of King Richard the Lionheart.
We’ll return on board in the afternoon before cruising on to Vienna.
After our arrival, join us on an excursion : Tour Vienna by night.
DAY 3 VIENNA (B)
Join us on an excursion : Visit Vienna and Schoenbrunn Palace, which was the main summer residence of the Habsburg rulers, located in Hietzing, Vienna. The name Schönbrunn (meaning “beautiful spring”) has its roots in an artesian well from which water was consumed by the court.
Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the World class city of Vienna at your own pace or take part in our excursion : Horse-drawn carriage ride though Vienna.
We’ll return to the ship and cruise to Budapest, passing Bratislava on the way. Tonight is our gala dinner and evening.
DAY 4 ESZTERGOM – BUDAPEST (B/L/D)
Enjoy some time on your own exploring Esztergom, the former capital of Hungary.
We’ll then spend the afternoon cruising to Budapest. The Hungarian capital lies along the banks of the Danube and is one of the most attractive cities in Europe.
Enjoy some free time sightseeing the city before returning to the ship.
After dinner, join us on an excursion : Budapest by night.
DAY 5 BUDAPEST (B/L/D)
Join us on an excursion : Guided tour of Budapest. Explore the distinct personalities of Budapest’s two cities: quiet, imperial Buda and chic, buzzing Pest.
In the afternoon, take part in an excursion to discover the Gellert Baths and Spa or Budapest Market Halls(1). After dinner, enjoy another free evening on your own or join us on an excursion : Evening of traditional dancing in the city.
DAY 6 BUDAPEST (B)
Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 a.m.
Afterwards, you are picked up from the pier and transfer to the Budapest Airport for your flight home or continue to your post cruise extension.
